Hien Vuong Spring Rolls
So much to like here. First spring rolls with shrimp, and they served peanut sauce.
Downhill after that. There was something off about the peanut sauce, like it had just turned bad. The noodles were solid white. They didn't bring much flavor, just texture.
As an aside, now noodles seem like they need their own review process. I've had clear, brown, and solid white noodles stuffed into my spring roll venture so far. Each has merits and my assessment is still in progress. I lean to the brown noodles as they lend a nutty flavor I think will go well with protein - when I find such a roll.
I liked the overall balance of the roll ingredients, and there were nice proportions of each ingredient. Mint showed up, just a bit of carrot for crunch, reasonable greens and shrimp.
